Free Tattoo Tools

Five free tools for the practical questions that come up before, during and after a tattoo. Each one shows its working: the rules and numbers behind every answer are on the tool’s own page, with a link to where they come from and the date we last checked it.

How We Build These Tools

Every tool here answers from a published source or from your own numbers, never from a guess. The healing planner follows the European tattoo aftercare standard and the American Academy of Dermatology. The ingredient checker’s rules come from the FDA, the federal regulations for drug labels and peer-reviewed allergy research, and every product in it was checked against its own label. The removal estimator is the Kirby-Desai scale exactly as its authors published it. The size guide is calibrated against the international standard for bank cards, and the cost calculator starts from the quote your artist gives you rather than an average we would have to invent.

None of them replaces your artist or a doctor. Your artist’s instructions come first on aftercare, and anything that looks like infection is a question for a doctor, which each tool says where it matters.
